Feeling fuzzy … I can’t stop dropping, forgetting and spilling things today. I spilled 2/3 of a glass of water all over my computer and surge protector and dictionary and AP Styleguide and then as soon as I’d gotten it all cleaned up, I knocked the SAME dummy cup over and spilled the remaining 2/3 anew over my desk.
Sodden workspace aside, a few additional things are vexing me.
First, I cannot staunch the flow of junk mail to my work inbox, try as I might. I “opt out” incessantly, but I am constantly being signed up anew for more and useless crap. It’s getting out of control! I field like 200 e-mails a day and it is an enormous time-suck.
Second, M and I have been really into Keno lately but a mad losing streak has me rethinking my new gambling habit, especially as my forays into Keno are often accompanied by several gins and tonic.
Third, I begin teaching my creative writing course next week. I have a curriculum cobbled together, but I’m looking for inspirations from adults who have taken writing classes before. What have you liked, not liked?
Oh, yeah, and I am reasonably proud of this feature, which I wrote for the Jan. 20 Gazette:
(Sorry, my work computer is so ancient and crappy it is refusing to link. But, if you care enough, just copy and past like in the olden days.)
